Miniclip provides videogames online and will process your personal information when you buy, download and play our games. If you have any questions about our data practices, your rights or have any concerns or complaints, you can contact us at dataprotection@miniclip.com, or send a letter to the address provided in this Privacy Policy.
1.2 Personal information we collect
We collect personal information from you directly, e.g. if you register an account with us, and also generate information about your use of our games, including game play. We will also receive information about you when you acquire our games from a third party – for example, your account ID from the Steam platform.
1.3 How we use your personal information
We use your Information to provide you with our games, support and analyse our games, and improve them. We will also use your Information to respond to your questions. We may also send you promotional emails and you can choose to stop receiving these at any time, by opting out.
1.4 Who we share your personal information with
We rely on third parties for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, including support services, such as support ticketing and game analytics. Additionally, we share your Information within our group and as required by law.
1.5 Where we process your personal information
Your Information is processed by us or our service providers in different countries around the world, including the United Kingdom, EEA, Australia, Japan, the United States of America and other locations.
1.6 Your rights
You may have rights to access, receive a copy of, or delete, your Information or restrict processing of your Information, and you also have the right to object to our use of your Information for certain purposes.

Any updates or changes to this Policy will be published here. If there are any significant changes, where possible, we will notify you through the Game or the relevant Third-PartyService.
2 Introduction
This privacy policy(“Policy”) informs you of your choices and our practices in relation to your Information (as defined below). In this Policy, “Miniclip”, “we” or“us” refers to Miniclip SA, a company registered in Switzerland with its office located at Rue des Beaux-Arts 8, 2000 Neuchatel, Switzerland. We choose why weneed to use your Information and how it is used, which means we are consideredthe data controller in certain countries. For the purpose of this Policy, “Information” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual. This includes Information relating to your use of our games (“Games”). When you use our Games, you accept our rules and policies which set out how wehandle your Information, and you understand we collect, process, use and storeyour Information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree withthis Policy, you must not play any of the Games. If you change your mind in thefuture, you must stop playing the Games and you may exercise your rights in relation to your Information as set out in this Policy.
3 PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
3.1 We will process and use the following Information about you:
3.1.1 Information you provide to us
Registration information:
If you are required to register an account with us to play a Game, you will beasked to create an account or a username and provide us with other information about yourself.
Information regarding your use of the Games:
Some of our games collect information Game ID, install and uninstall timestamps, date and time stamps of game events, game time, achieved scores, evidence of you using cheating software or using modified versions of the Games.
Customer Support Channels
When you interact with our customer support team, we may ask you to provide informationabout yourself, including (a) your full name, username and email, and (b) anyinformation you choose to provide to allow us to assist you.
Information collected through surveys
We may ask you to complete surveys about your experience. The Information wecollect from you varies depending on the survey, but we typically ask youquestions about your interests and habits, your opinion about differentproducts and services and what you’d like to be offered in the future. We alsocollect your ratings, opinions, preferences, questions, pictures, and responsesassociated with that survey.
3.1.2 Information we automaticallycollect or is generated about you when you play the Games
Identifiers: unique Miniclip ID (where you have a Miniclip account), and device information (such as language, and operating system).
Information regarding your use of the Games: date and timestamps of game events, game time, achieved scores, evidence of you using cheating software or using modified versions of the Games.
3.1.3 Information received from third parties
Registration via third parties: when you register using a third-party account (e.g. Steam) we receive information including your username and ID, profile picture and playtime statistics.
Public information on third party platforms: ifyou leave comments or reviews about our Games on third party platforms (e.g. Steam) we will be able to see this information.
4 CHILDREN
Our Games are not targeted at people who are under the age of 18 (“Child” or “Children”). If you are a Child, we recommend that you obtain permission from your parents or legal guardian (“Parents”) to play our Games. You should also read this Policy with your Parents so they can help you understand anything you may not understand. If you are a Parent and are concerned about your Child’s use of our Games or have any questions, you can contact us using the details insection 10 below.
5 HOW WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
5.1 We use your Information to:
Provide you with the Games. We will use your Information to perform our contractual obligation towards you, allow you to create an account (where necessary), play the Games, and, where the Game includes multiplayer, allow you to play Games with your friends.
Develop, improve and assess products and services. It is in our legitimate interest to develop, improve and assess our products andservices across our group of companies, for which we may use your Information, as listed in this Policy. This includes using any public reviews you make inrelation to our Games on third party platforms. When we share your Information with vendors, they may also use your Information to develop, improve or assess their products and services.
Provide you with support and to respond to your requests or complaints. If you reach out to us for support, we will use your Information to create asupport account for you, respond and resolve your queries and complaints, facilitate support (e.g., retrieval of a forgotten password). When doing so, we perform our contractual obligation towards you. The Information we process whendoing so includes your registration Information, your identifiers, informationabout your device and the amount of free space on your device, and any other Information about you collected via our customer support channels.
Conduct analytics. It is in our legitimate interests toanalyse the use of and inform, our Games, and newsletters, and any otherinteraction or interest in the same. When doing so we will process Informationwe automatically collect or is generated about you when you play the Games orinteract with our newsletters to (a) create anonymised and aggregated data; (b)create segments of users who show particular characteristics or interests; and(c) conduct predictive analytics about your interests.
Prevent fraud, defend Miniclip against legal claims or disputes, enforce our terms and to comply with our legal obligations. Itis in our legitimate interests to protect our users against online abuse andother anti-social or illegal activity (e.g., when moderating conversation inour Games). Furthermore, it is also in our legitimate interest to protect ourinterests by (1) monitoring Game use to detect fraud or any other userbehaviour which prejudices the integrity of our Games, (2) taking steps toremedy fraud and concerning behaviour, (3) defending ourselves against legalclaims or disputes, and (4) enforcing our terms and policies. When doing so, wewill process the Information relevant in such a case, including Information youprovide us, Information we automatically collect about you, and Informationwhich is provided to us by third parties.
Conduct surveys. From time to time, we may ask you toparticipate in surveys we conduct which are in our legitimate interest becausethey help us understand our userbase and improve the Games. If you choose toparticipate, we process your registration Information and any other Informationcollected through the survey questions.

Other players and users will see your profileInformation and in-game activities, as well as any other Information you choose to share with them;
Vendors and service providers we rely on for theprovision of the Games, for example:
o Analytics providers: where the Game collects information about your gameplay, we will work with anumber of analytics and segmentation service providers who help us understandour userbase;
Companies who belong to the same group as Miniclip. Weshare your Information with different entities which are part of our group ofcompanies.
Law enforcement agencies, public authorities or other judicial bodies and organisations. We disclose Information if we arelegally required to do so, or if we have a good faith belief that such use is reasonably necessary to comply with a legal obligation, process or request;enforce our terms of service and other agreements, policies, and standards, including investigation of any potential violation thereof; detect, prevent orotherwise address security, fraud or technical issues; or protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users, a third party or the public as required orpermitted by law (including exchanging information with other companies andorganisations for the purposes of fraud protection).
Change of corporate ownership. If we are involved in amerger, acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganisation, partnership, asset sale orother transaction, we may disclose your Information as part of thattransaction.
THIRD PARTY PRIVACY PRACTICES
If you access anyGames through a third-party platform such as Steam (“Third-Party Services”), you must understand that those Third-Party Services may collect otherInformation about you (including Information you share with them directly orabout your use of the Games) in accordance with their own terms and privacypolicies. The privacy practices described in this Policy do not apply to Third Party Services. Any links in the Games to Third Party Services do not implythat we endorse or have reviewed the Third-Party Services.
SECURITY
Although we have inplace security measures to maintain the privacy and integrity of your Information, unfortunately, the transmission of Information via the internet is not completely secure. We may also take extra steps to protect your Information and minimise the Information we process. For example, when you provide us withyour password as part of the registration process, we apply a one-way hash.
7 WHERE WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We process your Information in several countries, including countries within the EuropeanEconomic Area (“EEA”), the United Kingdom (“UK”), the United States of America and others. When we transfer your Information outside the UK or the EEA, we maytransfer it to countries that have been recognised as offering an adequateprotection by the EEA or the UK. When this adequacy status has not beenoffered, we use standard contracts that can be used in the EEA or the UK tosafeguard your Information while transferring it outside the EEA or the UK.
8 HOW LONG WE STORE YOUR INFORMATION
Your Information is kept for as long as you are registered or using our Games, and then for up tothree years from the date you stop interacting with the games. When deletingInformation, we will take measures to make the Information irrecoverable orirreproducible, and electronic files which contain Information will be deletedpermanently.
9 YOUR RIGHTS
Erasure/deletion:you can ask us to delete your Information. We may need to retain some of your Information where there are valid grounds for us to do so under data protectionlaws. For example, for the defence of legal claims, respect freedom ofexpression, or where we have an overriding legitimate interest to do so, but wewill let you know when this is the case. Note that where the Information is held by a third-party data controller, we will use reasonable steps to informthem of your request, but we recommend you contact them directly in accordancewith their own privacy policies to ensure your personal data is erased.
Access. You have the right to access Information, and to receive an explanation of howwe use it and who we share it with. This right is not absolute. For example, wecannot reveal trade secrets, or give you Information about other individuals.
Objection and withdrawal of consent: You have the right to (i)withdraw your consent where you previously provided such consent; or (ii)object to our processing of your Information where we process such Informationon the basis of our legitimate interests (see above under How we use yourpersonal information). For example, you may exercise this right to stopreceiving marketing emails. To do this, please follow the unsubscribe mechanism at the bottom of each email communication.
Portability. You have the right to receive a copy of Information we process on the basis ofconsent or contract in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or to request that such Information is transferred to a third party.
Correction. You have the right to correct any Information held about you that is inaccurate.
Restriction. You have a right in certain circumstances to stop us processing Informationother than for storage purposes.
