AP/AR Clerk

The position

Miniclip is looking for an Accounts Payable / Receivable Clerk to join part of our shared services finance department in our Lisbon (PT) Office, which provide services to the various Miniclip offices. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Head of Operations and Internal Controls. Please apply only if you have the right to work in Portugal.

The ideal candidate will be someone experienced and comfortable working within a team without direct supervision at all times, also with experience  working with teams based in different countries.

 

 

What will you do?

 

  • Manage payments processing to suppliers and employees, incl. foreign currency and cross-currency payments
  • Process bi-monthly payment runs (EUR, GBP, USD, CHF) to suppliers, weekly payment runs to employees, as well as perform manual payments as requested
  • Process Tax and Payroll payments
  • Manage receipts and allocate to the appropriate customer account
  • Daily Cash Book updates
  • Control bank statements and perform monthly bank accounts reconciliation (EUR, GBP, USD, CHF)
  • Perform regular AP/AR reconciliations and control aged creditors and debtors
  • Complete period end closing activities each month
  • Controls bank account balances
  • Manage credit cards expense processing, incl. posting and checking of internal guidelines and procedures
  • Work closely with the banks to ensure payments are processed without delays
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries, incl. monitoring finance email inbox
  • Support with external auditors’ requests
  • Other standard GL journal entries as required

 

Experience & Skills

 

  • 3-5 years of experience accounting performing the above tasks
  • Minimum of High School Diploma
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset, comfortable in dealing with all levels of the organization as required
  • Team player, results and quality oriented
  • Experience in a share service environment (preferential)
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken (mandatory)
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Solid MS Office knowledge (word, excel and outlook)
